What IS voice-over?
So, the other day I am talking with this genius friend of mine and he tells me, after looking at my website, that I ought to expound upon the world of voice-over... ya' know, give the novice a little inside scoop. Well, here goes.

Voice-over, according to our wonderful free internet reference guide, Wikepedia states, "Voice acting is the art of providing voices for animated characters (including those in feature films, television series, animated shorts, and video games) and radio and audio dramas and comedy, doing voice-overs in radio and television commercials, audio dramas, etc."

In addition, Madame Wikepedia declares, "An individual who performs such voice-only roles is known as a voice actor or actress or as a voice artist." Other nick-names include voice-over artist, voice talent, narrator, and commentator, to name a few.

A few years ago, I purchased a Whisper Room sound booth and purchased a ElectroVoice RE 20 mic and a used-but-still-viable Ramsa mixer. So I can record from my very own in-home studio. Now, I can service clients all over the world, which I do. Opportunities are also increasing for me again because of the Internet. One of my favorite Web based voice casting agencies is Voice123.com where I get many direct bookings from clients internationally. Of course, my faithful agents get me the majority of my work and I will be forever grateful for their belief in my talents.
